Product Description
Richardson Bay is an extension of San Francisco Bay that is the closest safe harbor to the Pacific Ocean that you can get. This makes the harbor filled bay a favorite for the nautical type. Mount Tamalpais stands behind the bay and although it is a rather anonymous body of water it is very functional as a visual throughfare much like the 101 for the water folk. The most famous aspect of Richardson Bay is the eclectic mixture of Houseboats and Anchor Outs that reside along the shoreline. Gentrification of Sausalito has removed much of the character of the area, but there is still a significant sense of history and culture in the area. The Bay Model is also housed along the docks of Richardson Bay and edges of Strawberry, Tiburon and Belvedere touch Richardson Bay. Mill Valley can also be included in that several bay fed streams fill up with water on high tide and if you have a canoe or flat bottom boat you could travel up to Tam Valley and Mill Valley proper.
